The LEED Platinum certification has been awarded to The Otis and UTC Climate, Controls & Security Offices in Jeddah for its number of sustainable and energy efficient innovations in site development, water and energy efficiency, as well as indoor environmental quality.

The building offices are completed with high-efficiency light fittings including motion and light sensors to reduce energy consumption in lighting to 54 percent. High-performance water saving fixtures were installed to reduce the use of potable water by 48 percent and the usage of garden water by 67 percent.

The building also sports a fresh airflow and carbon dioxide monitoring system which help to improve the efficiency of the building. The purpose is to give a healthy and productive environment for the occupants.

According to Rolando Furlong, Vice President of Otis and UTC Climate, Controls and Security Middle East, this achievement proved their commitment to sustainability goals in order to bring about a positive impact in the Middle East.
