UAE: Construction To Begin on New Aramex Facilities

A strategic partnership between Al Ashram Investments, a Dubai-based investment firm, and Aramex has been signed to build Aramex’s new Express Courier Facility in Dubai. Aramex is a global provider of transportation solutions and comprehensive logistics.

The facility will be constructed in the Umm Ramool area in Dubai. Construction is projected to be completed within seven months and is expected to cost Dh75 million (USD $20.5 Miillion)

The facility has been designed to fully meet Dubai’s Green Building Regulations and Specifications. Aramex will be the single occupant of the property and may therefore add specific requirements to the construction, without owning the property.

Hussein Wehbe, general manager of Aramex in the UAE expressed that the company is pleased to work with Al Ashram Investments. He also mentioned that the facility with be the company’s first to be fully automated in the region.

Muhannad Al Ashram, executive director at Al Ashram Investments, echoed the sentiment, and emphasised their commitment to the construction and completion of the project.
