Kuwait : A petrochemical company has achieved LEED Gold

Kuwait Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) just received a LEED Gold certification for their company’s administration building, making it the first existing building to be awarded a LEED Gold in the country.

To benefit workers and environmental protection, Mohammad Al-Farhoud, the CEO of PIC, explained that the company established their own initiative to become a green building.

The LEED rating system is a green building certification program launched by the US Green Building Council  to measure a building’s design, construction, and its operations in terms of its green practices.
