Dubai : World’s greenest eco resort plan unveiled

Plans to build the world’s greenest eco-resort in the Emirates has been revealed by Eco Resort Group, a Dubai Based Company. The resort is claimed to be located in Liwa, the southern region of UAE.

Scheduled to open in 2020, this resort will feature a total of 157,000 square feet of solar panels. Water will be extracted from the ground and used for the resort. The resort will also feature a zero emission zone and an on-site waste management, completed with wildlife biologists and conservation staff.

According to Baharash Bagherian, founder of London-based Baharash Architecture and the firm responsible with the design features, he found that by extracting groundwater using a deep well during early stages of the project can create opportunities for trade and transportation routes.
