DUBAI 2

Continuing late last year’s Energy Efficiency Programme, Emirates Green Building Council (EmiratesGBC) has announced the launch of the Energy Efficiency Online Database which serves as a catalyst for all industrial players, ranging from manufacturers to contractors, to assist their industrial requirements related to energy efficiency.

The program’s comprehensive product and service database was developed by EmiratesGBC’s corporate members which showcases reputable industry experts dedicated to enhancing UAE’s building retrofit industry.

Through UAE’s energy efficiency retrofits for existing buildings, The Online EEP Database aims to facilitate reduction of UAE’s carbon footprint, which is in line with the announcement by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid AL Maktoum, and UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai about the Green Economy for envisioning a sustainable development.

According to Saeed Al Abbar, the Chairman of Emirates GBC, The Energy Efficiency Programme is part of EGBC’s commitment in raising the awareness for green building energy efficiency. The program also trys to improve the connection between industry stakeholders tackling the challenges faced when considering an energy efficiency project. With the new online feature, people will be able to speed up the process, streamlining the database in a more user-friendly manner, while also enabling the members and stakeholders within the building industry to identify the right solution during the process.
